Background modification
by Nickolas on Nov.30, 2009, under Random bits
I noticed that the background was getting a bit too small for the length of the page. Therefore, I took the liberty of changing it to something much bigger. Sure, the file went from 91 kb to 203 kb, but I really don’t think it’s that much of a problem. Most of us uses broadband connection nowadays.
Of course, should this be a problem, feel free to comment on that change… I still have the smaller version on the server. Changing it back would be an easy task. Keep in mind though that I might change it again later in order to have a background that adjust to the length automatically.
On another subject, I’m trying to figure out how to get the “Subscribe to comments” section translated in French. Not that it matters to you, English reader, but I thought I’d let you know.
Wish me luck!
Edit: I finally found a workaround for that by wrapping all the “wrapper” div into another one that will be the the same size as the body of the page, therefore making it possible for me to add a simple PNG gradient to fade out the background on pages that have less content.
The new layout should already be appearing on your screen. Enjoy!

Argh, and of course, on smaller post, the background kinda looks weird…
Nothing is perfect, but I’ll see about that later.
