For those who just joined us (there aren’t many visitors, yet), this blog was launched last Tuesday in a rush to get something out there. The website is still under development and therefore you may see lots of tweaks here and there as time pass.

In any case, let me introduce myself. My name is Nickolas Simard. I came up with “NickoLabs” simply by adding a letter in my surname. Quite original…

I’m 25 and I live in Chicoutimi (Quebec, Canada. See Google Map for details). Perhaps I should get a picture or two on this blog to show you guys just how ugly I am!
Anyway, I’ve been to Cegep here in Jonquière, in Multimedia Integration Techniques. I’ve finished my studies in 2005, being the second years to graduate in this field. I’ve been working since then in what I prefer in that field, which is PHP Programming. I do a lot of different thing, this course being quite multidisciplinary: I can work with most multimedia software in the market, from coding to design, passing by video editing and animating.

I’ll get my resume on the “About” page someday.

I’ve been touching to a lot of MMORPG in my early years, starting with Nainwak (as: Stalfos), where I did HUGE Role-Playing… Played World of Warcraft, EVE Online and Ragnarok Online (as Thala, Hyrkali, Thya, Mina and some others) a lot also. Should you have seen those nicknames around, that may have been me. Playing and working weren’t getting along well, so I dropped the games (since playing will not pay me, sadly).

Well, that about what I can think of right now… I’ll need to write a real “About” page so it can be more descriptive and accurate than this little ~350 words long post. I’ll also have to translate all that sooner or later, because I’ll be doing this site in French as well!

For now, I’ve got a website pending launch… I’ll tweet about that I guess. Oh yeah, I have to put that twitter link somewhere… gee, I hope I’ll have some time soon to do all that!
